We were thinking of getting a tortoise for our new class pet. To do so, all students will have to research over the weekend and find a fact about the Greek tortoise and how to take care of it.
This will help our class zoologists realize and learn how to take care of our special new pet.
After the student finds their fact, they must post the fact on the blog. It must be posted by Tuesday December 6th by morning.
You only need one fact on how to keep or take care of our pet.
It will be a special opportunity to watch this pet grow and live!
But to earn this pet we must all participate in our fact finding project!

habitat- In general aquariums may be easiest to use for a turtle or tortoise but they do not provide the necessary air circulation that they require. An enclosure that has screened sides makes a much better habitat.

I learn't that the Greek Tortoise comes from mediterranean forest's and scrubland's. It does best in low humidity environments.
-George
Since Greek Tortoises usually live in a dry environment the humidity should be 30% to 50%. If the humidity is to high or low it can cause a number of health problems.

The temperature for the enclosure would have to be one area having to be about 95 degrees F because the Greek tortoise likes to bask. And the remainder of the enclosure should be 75 degrees F.
